Some very exciting news to start off the year… Our own little Mariella hit the bright lights of the big city to attend the Myer AW Fashion Launch in Melbourne. Last year Mariella attended The Kevin Murphy Session Styling Course in Melbourne – it consisted of four one day training events involving a deep dive into Kevin Murphy product knowledge, a fashion show briefing, Kevin Murphy Tools & Styling. On completion Mariella graduated and was rewarded with a “Gold Key” making her a “Kevin Murphy Gold Key Stylist”.
Kevin Murphy is the Official Hair Partner for the Myer Fashion Launch in Melbourne, and as a Gold Key Stylist Mariella was selected to attend this event earlier in February. So, Mariella set off to Melbourne, where she started briefing for the autumn winter fashion launch at 6am – what a glamourous life!! From then it was on!! There were about 4 stylists working on each model to get ensure they back out on that runway as fast as possible. My friend and photographer Wade Lewis got some amazing photos for us. Such a cool opportunity for our little apprentice to work on the runways of the big city. She has already been asked to attend the next one but we can’t have her running off to Melbourne all the time, ha-ha J.
But she had such a great experience that I have no doubt she will attend many more.
